D Is For Dino was carved by Brock Brood and entrusted to me to plant. Thank you, Brock Brood, for helping me populate north Louisiana with letterboxes.

Enter the park and pay the fee. At the present time, the fee is $2 for adults, less for kids, and free for senior citizens.

This box is hidden at Chemin-a-haut State Park near Bastrop, Louisiana. You can read about it here http://www.crt.state.la.us/louisiana-state-parks/parks/chemin-a-haut-state-park/ and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chemin-A-Haut_State_Park.

Drive into the park and stay on the main road. When the road splits, go to the right. Drive towards the Nature Center which is a small, painted-yellow, brick building with ramps at the back coming off each side. Park in the first parking space available. Usually, there are no cars here, so you will not have to drive as far as the building but will be parking a little distance before you get to it. Walk across the grass to the sidewalk that comes from the Nature Center. Turn right and walk all the way to the end. You'll pass the amphitheater on your left. At the end of the sidewalk, stop, and walk back 9 sections of sidewalk. On your right is an oak tree. Your treasure is on the opposite side of this tree in a deep depression in the ground between roots at the base of the tree. It's covered with leaves. Be stealthy in the summer, the grassy area across the road is filled with people playing baseball.

PLEASE be stealthy and also re-hide the box well.
