This box is in honor of my daughter Freya. She is becoming an adult this year and will no longer want to come swimming at this park with her family anymore. She is a talented artist and has always danced to the beat of a different drum. A gypsy spirit as I've always described her. To find this box you will need to locate Sandy Knoll park.( When we visited it was under construction at the beach area.)This park is well known for its swimming hole with island you can swim to. It also has hiking trails, picnic areas and a children's park. Freya loved coming here as a little girl.
Park in the shelter 3 parking lot. Cross the road and begin walking on the main trail. Follow the trail straight ahead. Cross a tiny stream. When the trail begins to curve after the stream look to your right for a large stump. Look behind it. You have found Freya. Stamp up and rehide well. Enjoy the swimming hole or check out the rest of the trails here.
