Please be sure to take time not to be seen, that is be sure "the coast is clear"! Please also be sure to cover with debris, a rock and more debris. Some boxes just have debris, in that case please be sure to cover completely. These stamps will not be replaced. All stamps are in boxes. Pick a cooler day as the walk is fairly long, yet mostly easy.

Take High Street to Dead end and Park. Go to the kiosk and get a map. Although this is a basic hike, you may wish to have a copy for future excursions.

Take the left trail out of the parking lot. Look for a large stone on the right. From it bear 356* to two trees with a small stone in front of them. Box 1 is on the right side of the stone. (This is near a smaller path to the other trail so stealth is a must).

Get back on the blue trail crossing over two bridges. There will be rounded cliff boulders ahead. Stay left, but look right, at ground level for three stones. These stones actually look like two. Behind the stones (and spike?), you will find Box 2.

Walk down then up admiring the two stately trees on the left. In a little while is another one on the right. Beyond this tree is a stone. In back of which is Box 3. Also in this box is the only logbook.

Walk along until you arrive at a stonewall. Stop at the wall and look up on the hill to the right (on left side of the wall). There is a large stone that looks somewhat like a heart. Go up to it on the faded deer path. From it at 60* is a chain of more stones (another wall maybe?). Look behind the stone with a stump and two different trees growing on it. Behind it is Box 4.

Continue on the trail until you see a slanted stone on the left that looks like it might be a cave. Stand next to it on the trail and take 18 phynstar like paces! Look left just off trail to an old rotted stump. Walk back and behind it. To the right of it is a smaller stone with Box 5.

Continue back on the main trail. At the triangle, stay to the left. Keep looking left as you want to find some stones with ferns growing on top. On the same side between these stones take the faded deer path up to a living cedar tree. At the foot of it is a stone with ferns growing out of it. In front of it is Box 6.

Continue on the trail where it turns right AND down a slight hill. You will soon come to a sharp left turn, but wait! There are boulders on the right and a 911 tree here. Behind this emergency tree is an identical twin tree hiding Box 7.

Continue to the water and turn right. Walk over 3 planks, then 1 lone plank, then 2 planks, and finally 1 more lone plank. All this is along the water. Eventually, you will see a sign that says: Stone Steps. Ignore this sign and continue walking along the water.

Walk along this narrow trail to the next sign about "fungi". Count the markers as you go up this trail. It is a steep grade, so be careful. On the fourth marker, stop. On the left is a stump with three stones at ground level. Look behind the middle one for Box 8.

Walk all the way to the top (again being careful). Rest at the overlook: you deserve it! Behind you there is a cement marker. From it, head on the wider path until you see another "fungi" sign. Walk a few steps on this smaller path.
Look behind the first oak, which is on your right. Behind which are two stones, the second holds Box 9.

Go back taking a left onto the wider path (really more of a road). It is mostly flat and an easy stroll back to your car. (Or go back to the overlook and enjoy the view. Keep in mind that other "players" enjoy this area too!)

Hike length: 1-2 miles
