Terrain Difficulty: Easy (slight slope, 0.5 mile RT)
Status: alive
Located in the Falconhead West Neighborhood, Falconhead West Primitive Trails provides over 3.5 miles of hike/bike trails for your enjoyment. Since the name of the subdivision and my box are named after birds, I propose that we make this place a bird-themed letterbox area. So when you come to find my box, bring your own bird box to place and help make this park for the birds.
Directions:
Go west on Hwy 71 to Vail Divide and go right, then first left on Rockies Run Summit and first left at Patagonia Pass to Falconhead Greenway parking lot on right.
Clues:
Walk through iron fence on main Blue trail, staying left at jcts and following trail signs 1-6, to stone marker in open area. Go left 40 steps to bench and continue past left side 20 steps to cedar tree on hillside. Minibox is at back base under rocks and needles.
Hike length: 0.5 miles
