These boxes are located in Penwood State Park on Rt. 185 in Bloomfield. Only one log book in the last box and no inks.

After parking your car, take the road to the left of the memorial marker (just as for Circle of Lives). Walk all the way (approximately 2 miles)to the three way intersection (where the road curves left) just before Lake Louise, not to be confused with a yellow loop trail on the left part way to the lake.

Just before the curve, look right for an old hand pump. Behind (and to the right)it is a ledge, in front of the ledge is a tree with exposed roots. Here you will find Keep on Dancing.

Back on the road go left at the curve on a mostly unmarked trail (you might see some white blazes). Pass a boardwalk on the right, go over a wooden bridge and at the crest of a small knoll, look on the left for a metal pipe in the ground and site 70 degrees, look in the stump (it's rotting away)for Is It a Duck? After stamping in, make sure that bark is covering it.

Continue straight, pass a "Q" sign post(what's up with the alphabet in the woods?)Stay straight even if you see white blazes in the woods. Watch on the left for a VERY rotted tree 25 feet off trail with the roots facing you. Look on left side of the tree just after a skinny evergreen for Is It a Pig?

Continue straight on this trail with the swamp on the right until you come to a T intersection, go left on the blue trail until you see a Metacomet Trail sign on the right. Look left and in the roots of the downed tree for Dancing on Snowflakes.

Retrace your steps to your car.
Thanks for visiting.
