Unicorns are truly magical creatures. They are typically believed to be strong, courageous, mysterious. Could they really exist? Let the hunt begin!

"Unicorns Amongst Us" is located within the Austin Nature & Science Center. We suggest parking in the parking lot located across the street from the main entrance to the Center -- the parking lot is under the Mopac overpass. Proceed through the entrance to the grounds of the Center and follow the path up the hill to the main building. Go straight through the main building, only stopping for a few moments to be wow'd by the real bee hive display in action (Center volunteers can sometimes even find the queen bee for you) & to do an obligatory waggle dance.

Once through the main building, continue on the path toward the animal areas. Cross over a wooden bridge, continue past "Small Wonders", and through the arch to enter the "Birds of Prey" area. Go past the "Great Horned Owl" live exhibit -- another strong and mysterious creature. When you reach the rock statue with a cactus on top called "The Eagle & The Hawk", keep walking straight. Just past the statue, you will come upon the "Eastern Screech Owl" cage on your left and a bench on your right. Have a seat on the bench, enjoy the scenery, marvel at the Eastern Screech Owl in front of you, and then while facing this particular Owl, look just to the right of its cage. There you will find a dead tree stump. Look behind the stump below a SPOR for the box.

Tah Dah! They DO exist!! And there's a small FTF reward -- sprinkle it as you leave to spread the magic!

Please make sure to re-cover the box well, lest it be muggled by a well-meaning Volunteer or other Center visitor.

Hope you have fun hunting Unicorns and visiting the Austin Nature & Science Center!
