The original Anasazi Ridge Letterbox has been expanded into a series of 3 boxes. Directions for boxes #1 & #2 are seperate.

This was an easy-to-travel dirt road. Recent flooding has left the road very bumpy.

From Anasazi Ridge on Hwy. 91 east-bound, go on past Rider's auto garage. Watch on the left side of the road for 3 flag poles together, after a downhill curve. JUST BEFORE these 3 flag poles is a very sharp right turn onto a downward sloping dirt road.

From Santa Clara on Hwy. 91 west-bound, watch for 3 flag poles together, before an uphill curve. Just after the flag poles is a left turn onto a downward sloping dirt road.

Follow the dirt road on down until you get to the "Road Closed" sign, park off to the right in the wide area.

Walk on the dirt road beyond the "Road Closed" sign. The road goes along the Santa Clara River. Watch up on the rock "wall" for petroglyphs.

In a sort of alcove on the right, you'll pass some pioneer names etched among some petroglyphs, incuding "Tom". Keep going, and you'll see another group of names among the petroglyphs, including "Vern Stucki", Max", Edmund", etc.

Watch for a very prominent tall triangular-shaped rock pointing upward, and is right on the edge of the road.

On the other side of this rock (west) is a large flat rock leaning agianst it. The awaited box is to the right of the leaning rock, at the base of the triangular rock (northwest corner) under a crevice with loose rocks. Of course, becareful when reaching in.

Uphill from the triangular rock is a very dark boulder with some petroglyphs peeking over the top. If you climb up there, you'll see many more petroglyphs on the back.

Continue further on the road to see more petroglyphs. And keep watching on the way back; you might see some you missed from the other angle. Enjoy!
