The Lost Pines Forest is a group of loblolly pines found near the town of Bastrop that are over 100 miles away from the vast expanse of similar trees in eastern Texas. The town of Bastrop has embraced these trees by having a Lost Pines Christmas every year that includes: an Old-Fashioned Main Street Chrismas, Lighted Christmas Parade, and River Of Lights. The River Of Lights is on the June Hill Pape Rivewalk Trail that starts in Fisherman’s Park and continues a half mile along the Colorado River to Ferry Park, and is where this box can be found.

Directions:
From Hwy 71 exit onto TX 150 and go northeast for 0.7 mile, left on Main St for 0.1 mile, then left on Farm St 0.2 mile into Fisherman's Park and park by playground.

Clues:
Walk south past restrooms to entry for June Hill Pape Riverwalk and go on it along river under a set of bridges, then past an iron fence to a cement table on right and iron bench on left (if you go under another bridge you have gone too far). Go back 13 steps then up the hill on right 15 steps to multi-trunk tree. LB is within trunks under sticks and rock. Please be discreet and hide well.

Hike length: 0.5 miles
