You are headed to the former federal Boron prison!
(It's no longer a prison, don't worry)
Many people are getting into a new exploration activity called "Urb Ex" or Urban Exploration.
This is the discovery and touring of modern buildings that have been abandoned.
This former prison is one of these places.
Before being a federal prison, it was the home of the 750th Air Force radar squadron. It was known as the Boron Air Station.

From Kramer Junction (the intersection of Hwy 58 and Hwy 395), proceed north on Hwy 395. It will be about 5-6 miles and you will come upon Locust Road.
Park behind the old sign (all wording has been redacted) on the North West side of Hwy 395 and Locust Road.
From the sign, walk north to the eastern edge of the low stone wall. Along the back side of the wall walk west approx. 17 paces where you will come to a section that juts out to the north. At the north east corner there should be several rocks piled up at the base of the wall and a line of rocks that points to the direction of the box You will have to use some muscle to drag out the large rock at the base of the wall to reveal the box! Please replace rocks to keep the box hidden after you stamp in the notebook. Take a look around and remember a time before the year 2000 when this was a low security prison in which inmates could walk around as they pleased, umpire little league games, and have visitors driving mercs and lincolns that would bring them salmon and other delicacies for dinner. Looking up the hill to the west, on top of the hill sits what is now a FAA radar tracking station.
