DIRECTIONS
From the seawall go northwest towards 37th. Turn left on 2nd st. Then take the ferry (while there enjoy feeding the gulls at the back of the ferry). Afterwards continue straight then take a right at historical marker 7452 (sign). And enter the gate where the sign says Fort Travis Shore Park.
TO THE BOX:
You will see the sign of Fort Travis sea shore park then enter throughout the gate and park ahead beside the Battery kimble sign. Then follow the concrete path to the bench. I would highly suggest sitting here to admire the the birds coming and going from their mud nests under the roof of the fort (you can also walk to the gate for a closer look). From the bench walk and stand in front of the Fort Travis Interpretive Trail sign and face towards the 3 flags then look to the stop sign near the entrance and walk to it. When you reach the stop sign there will be a fenced tree where the box will be located behind the fence,in a hole in the tree tied to an orange string.
Please place the box back were you found it afterwards.
