Ms PenGwen is an original letterboxer in the Southern California area.
She is beloved by many and I wanted to celebrate her BIG birthday with a stamp and planted it with lots of love :)
The oldest active listing in Los Angeles County was "Signal Hill Letterbox" box at Hilltop Park in Signal Hill, CA but unfortunately was listed as missing in 2016. It was planted by her in January of 2001.
She has adopted out many of her boxes to be maintained by Kelsung.
To find this tribute birthday box:
Find the Heron Pointe Housing Community (Seal Beach Blvd. & Heron Pointe) and park in the small parking lot to the left before their entrance gates. From that parking lot you are at the entrance to the Hellman Ranch Trail.
To the right of the barrier gates you'll see green cement barrier poles. Under the cap of the closest pole to the cinder block wall is the bday box. Please be aware of walkers on the trail and the parking lot you're standing by.
