Status: alive
Surrounded by majestic mountains and set on the shores of crystal clear Lake Wakatipu, Queenstown is home to a huge choice of adrenaline based activities including jetboating, bungy jumping, white water rafting and skydiving. There are also plenty of easy scenic trails, including the track in Queenstown Gardens, where this letterbox can be found with great views of the Adventure Capital of the World.
Directions:
Park near wharf area of Lake Wakatipu.
Clues:
Walk southeast past playground and across a bridge to Queenstown Gardens. Go right along lake to tip of peninsula and go left at jct and up steps then 35 steps to path lined with stones at beginning of garden area. Go right on grass between garden and trees 60 steps to large rock next to smaller one between trees on right. LB is under left side of big rock under flat stone and needles. Please be discreet and replace as described.
Hike length: 1-2 miles
