Mrs. Macquarie's Chair is an exposed sandstone rock cut into the shape of a bench by convicts in 1810 for Governor Macquarie's wife Elizabeth. It offers a great view of Sydney Harbor and can be found in the Royal Botanic Garden, along with this box.
Directions:
Park on road next to Royal Botanic Garden or at the Domain Car Park.
Clues:
Walk northeast in park, following the signs to Mrs. Macquarie's Chair. Facing chair walk left on asphalt path 80 steps to indention in rock wall just before steps on right and tall tree stump on left. Step up and look in crevice at left side of indention about 6" for LB behind rocks. Please be discreet and replace as described.
