Girl Scout Troop #663 had lots of fun making Letterboxes. Our first letterbox has been hidden at a Regional Park in Stockton known for it's valley oak trees. It's right off the state highway and easy to find. Once you pay your parking fee at the entrance ($5/weekday & $6/weekend) you will need to drive or walk to the far playground past the boathouse. The Oak Pavillion is in front of this playground and to the far left of the playground is a path around the pond. Enjoy the geese, ducks and feel free to rent a paddle boat to take in the full enjoyment of the water.

Our troop began as brownies and the story of brownie elves teaches the girls how to be helpers in their home and world. "Twist and turn me and show me the elf, I looked in the water and saw ______." With this wonderful story in mind we hid our box near the water. A great place to look in can be found on an old bridge just a short way down the path. Our letterbox found a home on the far side tucked under the bridge on the gravel not far from a cement slab. If you find the box, leave us your answer to the riddle or a note sharing where you came from! We look forward to sharing one of our favorite parks with you! We done nature walks on the trails here and even had a wonderful tour of the nature center with our troop!
