This letterbox is part of the GO and Build a Better World! program in York County, PA. It will be available from June 3, 2017 to August 20, 2017. Further details about the program may be found at www.goyork.org.
The GO and Build a Better World! program requires you to search for up to 30 “landmarks” – wooden posts with engraved plates on them, instead of a traditional letterbox and stamp. Please use a colored pencil or crayon to carefully rub the impression onto your GO and Build a Better World! rubbing sheet, available for free at any York County Library.
This letterbox is located at Albemarle Park in York City. GO York! level of difficulty = Easy.
- This one is easy; the simplest of the bunch. A few picnic tables are nearby so you might want to bring your lunch.
- From the parking lot, take a step into the tree-lined path and turn right.
- Continue down the grassy path to the 3rd bench. At the bench, turn left and walk to the pole in the field. The post should be there.
