This letterbox is part of the GO and Build a Better World! program in York County, PA. It will be available from June 3, 2017 to August 20, 2017. Further details about the program may be found at www.goyork.org.

The GO and Build a Better World! program requires you to search for up to 30 “landmarks” – wooden posts with engraved plates on them, instead of a traditional letterbox and stamp. Please use a colored pencil or crayon to carefully rub the impression onto your GO and Build a Better World! rubbing sheet, available for free at any York County Library.

This letterbox can be accessed from the Old York Road parking area of William H. Kain County Park at Lake Redman. GO York! level of difficulty = Moderate.

- Starting from the Old York Road Parking Area, take the trail on your left when facing the lake. This trail goes uphill.
- Once you get to the top of the hill, the large Lake Redman sign will be on your right. Continue following trail 3 straight.
- Remain on trail 3 as it follows the edge of the lake. The lake will be on your right and the woods on your left.
- When you come to a trail intersection, stay straight on trail 3. This trail will bend with the lake.
- At every intersection, remain right on trail 3. This trail will follow around the cove in the lake.
- You should reach a wood bridge. Stop and see if you can spot any wildlife around the stream. Carefully cross the bridge and stay on trail 3 as it starts to go uphill.
- As you are walking you will come to a gray bench on your left. You may want to take a break, and enjoy the view of Lake Redman and the surrounding landscape.
- Keep walking on trail 3 and, in another 75 yards, you will come to a trail intersection. The post will be at this intersection.
- To return to your vehicle, turn around and go back the way you came.
