Go to south central part of the state and find the highest mound around. Once upon the mound go to the south tower and head East to travel to a lower elevation. After entering the forest the trail takes a hard left and you run into steps. Take 20 and stop. Check the sister rocks and there you will find the first letterbox.
Now continue on your way to lower ground past the rock of fossils. Stop and check it out, fun to climb. Don't worry nothing to find. Resume your hike and find a fork in the road. Look for a permit reminder and from there take twenty steps towards where you can cool off in the summer heat. Stay right and look past the Solomon Seal to the chert with False Seal atop. This is your second stop and your letterbox.
Great, continue the same direction past a place to rest your feet. Where the trail flattens there was once a great tree that is now home for insects and letterbox three. (Gently lift the loose piece to reach.)
Continue on your hunt past the knobbiest black cherry tree you have ever seen.(On the left) Double your distance and keep an eye to the right where you'll find what was a tree with 3 trunks. Letterbox four is found tucked along one of the former trunks.
Team Cyclone hopes you enjoy your hunt. We have placed a gift in each box. The stone of inspiration is yours. Please only take one so the first four successful hunters will all get one gift.
Hike length: 1-2 miles
