Prudence Crandall House is located at the Junctions of Routes 14and 169 in Canterbury. Park in the parking lot located at Prudence Crandall House. Start at the sign at the base of the ramp preceding the entrance. The sign gives great information about Prudence Crandall and the first school for African American girls. She was teacher, crusader, heroine. Visit the museum inside. From that sign at the ramp entrance proceed South for 20 paces to the stonewall. Enjoy the benches while there. Follow along the stonewall to the giant tree stump. Five paces further due West in the stonewall you will find your prize. No ink is present, so bring your own. Make sure to stay on the museum side of the stone wall as the other side is private property.
