This box is hidden in a small city maintained state park on the Frio River in Three Rivers. This is a nice little park to have a family reunion or a gathering. It has a nice big pavilion with tables. There is a play ground and great fishing. Choke Canyon South Shore Unit and Calliham unit are near by.
Go west on Hwy 72 from Three Rivers and just across the Frio River bridge turn left into Tips State Park. Drive around to the south side of the pavilion and park. South of the pavilion, past the RV hookups and over the wire rope fence, you will see the concrete strut from the old bridge crossing the river. Walk to the far right corner of the strut. Go 20 paces to the southwest to the fence. You are looking for a forked log lying next to the fence. In the fork, under some twigs and bark, you'll find the box.
Please be discreet and cover well after finding. This park frequently has high traffic.
