Drive up the hill to the top of Blue Mounds State Park. Park your car in the lot on the eastern end. Look for the rock with a memorial Plaque of a plane crash the occurred on the hill in 1944. Behind and to the right of the rock is a graceful Shagbark Hickory tree, just begging for a letterbox #1. Check it out.
Then go to the right out of the parking lot and continue on the drive around the top of the Mounds. Just past the 3rd parking area on the drive is a picnic area with another Shagbark Hickory. Check in the rocks under the trees to see if a nut (Box #2) might have fallen among them
Then climb up either or both towers for an awesome view.
Also checkout the other Letterboxes in the Park
Hike length: 0.1 miles
