Telluride Brewing is the ultimate dream of Chris Fish and Tommy Thacher in their quest to make the perfect beer. Their beers have won many awards, especially the Face-Down Brown, and you can try them at the tasting room after hiking the Jud Wiebe Trail and getting this box.
Directions:
For Telluride Brewing, head West on CO-145, go left on CO-145 S towards Mountain Village, make first right on Society Drive, go past the Conoco, Viking Rentals and Alpine Lumber and take first left to tasting room.
For the letterbox, drive to Aspen Street in Telluride and park where you can.
Clues:
Walk north on Aspen Street to Jud Wiebe Trail going left across bridge and Cornet Falls Trail going right. The box is on Jud Wiebe Trail, but I highly recommend taking the short but steep trail to Cornet Falls before or after finding the box. Who knows, you might meet a celebrity like I did. Walk on Jud Wiebe Trail as it bends right, left, then right again to jct with Deep Creek Trail. Continue straight as trail switchbacks up to a bench with awesome view overlooking Telluride below and Bridal Veil Falls in the distance to the east. From bench, go east on small path (right of Jud Wiebe Trail) 48 steps to pine tree near another overlook. LB is at base under rocks and needles. Continue on loop trail back into town.
