William Herbert "Buck" Dunton was an American artist and a founding member of the Taos Society of Artists. He is noted for paintings of cowboys, New Mexico, and the American Southwest. Though born in Maine in 1878, he eventually settled in Taos and remained there until he died in 1936. He is buried in Sierra Vista Cemetery where this box can be found.
Directions:
Go north on US 64 to Sierra Vista Cemetery on the right and enter through arch. Take first right past map board and bench on left to garbage can on right and park by grave of W. Herbert Dunton on right.
Clues:
Walk to grave by fence, then walk back across road 20 steps between grave plots to evergreen bushes on right behind grave for Deveaux. LB is under first bush under rocks and leaves.
