Enter Judge C.R. Magney State Park and use the parking lot for your vehicle. (vehicle permit required, daily = $7)

Locate the Devil's Kettle trail. (2 miles round trip to Devil's Kettle)
Enjoy the journey on the up and down path leading to the Kettle.

You may wonder how many stairs there are as you move along. We didn't want to know on the way there so we only counted on the way back. 280 steps one way with lots of nice landings and overlooks to help you catch your breath.

Part way to the Kettle after a stair filled descent and before you begin to climb up again you will see a small stair case that takes you to a misty place. Once you continue your journey up there will be two overlooks at the Kettle. First, notice in blue the "Password is Wissakode Zibi". You've almost found the letterbox. Look to your left and see a tall white bark tree. Near the tree base and behind is where to look next, hidden in a birch bark sleeve. Don't miss the second overlook just beyond the first where you can toss a twig or pebble into the Kettle.

Enjoy! Please return the letterbox and re-hide well!

Log your find and tell about your hike!

Thanks!!!

Hike length: 1-2 miles
