Terrain Difficulty: Moderate (moderate slope, 1.5 miles RT)
Recommended Ink: brown
Status: alive
The River Place Nature Trail consists of three trails in the River Place Neighborhood: Fern Trail, Panther Hollow Trail and Canyon Trail. Though the name of this box is exaggerated, it will seem accurate when you look for it, but hopefully worth the effort.
Directions:
From Hwy 360 go northwest on RR 2222 about 3 miles and turn left on River Place Blvd. Go about 1.7 miles and park along road on right near Canyon Trail entrance.
Clues:
Walk on trail past map kiosk, then down across creek and up past 0.25 mile sign. Continue past 0.5 mile sign, across another creek and up through 4-way jct to bench on right with great view on left. Go right past bench up a path 35 steps to clearing and go left 8 steps to cedar tree with leaning cedar in front of it. LB is between them under rocks.
Hike length: 1-2 miles
