Box #1 temporarily removed as of 4/16/05
These boxes are located at a nature center near a Powhatan Renape Reservation. This center is open until 5:00 p.m. and is closed on Mondays. Once at the nature center, enjoy browsing in the visitor's center; once you're ready for a walk, head to the trail entrance. Follow along the trail, head right as the path divides. Follow the path straight as it passes behind the barn-like building. Pass marker a bench and markers 25 and 24. At marker 22 go 16 paces at 150 degrees to a V tree. At the base search for your first prize.
To find the second box, return to #22 and continue along the trail. At the fork, follow the yellow arrow. Approximately 15 paces later, bear left. You're on the correct trail when you pass marker #14. Follow the yellow arrow again, you'll soon enter a conifer plantation. See marker #8, and notice a bench just up ahead. At the bench, make a bearing of 200 degrees and walk 17 paces. Underneath a large fallen log you'll find the second box.
Keep following the trail to return to the visitor's center.
