The Kāneiolouma Complex is a cultural site still under development. When fully restored, it will reveal the remnants of an ancient Hawaiian village at Poʻipū, Kōloa, Kauaʻi. The long security wall was the first phase completed and this is where you'll find our two letterboxes.
We are beginning letterboxers (one of us just 10 yrs old). These are our first plants. I hope they survive the rains and heritage center development.
Box #1: Happy Tiki.
Begin at end of the rock security wall on Hoowili Rd. (by the beach).
Walk towards Poipu Rd. to the first No Parking sign. Your letterbox will be tucked in one of the lower rock crevices about six feet to the left of the sign.
Box #2: Island Native
Continue on Hoowili Road to the next No Parking sign. The second letterbox is also hidden about six feet to the left of the sign, low in a crevice, with some smaller rocks placed against the wall to help conceal it.
Hike length: 0.1 miles
