"According to the late Mary Hampton, local historian, the name "Apple Valley" arose from the abundance of apple orchards that existed here in the 1920s. Some say the name “Apple Valley” originated from The Appleton Land Company that was based in this area in the early 1900s."

Find your way to the public library in Apple Valley. Check website for office hours. This is a PUZZLE STAMP which means you must figure out how to stamp three pieces together to form a complete picture. Have fun!

While in correct location, find the “Adult Fiction” section. Be very aware of muggles and county workers when looking here. While pulling out a book with your left hand (to look like you’re doing something), slide your right hand underneath top metal shelf toward the front of shelf which is facing you, to find a small magnetic box. Please take box with you to a table before opening it and stamping so no one knows what you’re doing. Please rehide carefully in same location when finished.

Clue #2 – Go to the “Large Print” Fiction section of library. Research to find out which author wrote "Pepper's Way." This author is a New York Times best selling American author of more than 60 books, including "Pepper's Way." Reach underneath shelf to find magnetic box. Pretend to be pulling out books and looking at them in case anyone is watching. Be stealth. Take box to a table to stamp and rehide carefully.

Clue #3 – Which author is an American adventure novelist and sole author or lead author of more than 70 books such as "The Romanov Ransom" and the "Dirk Pitt Adventures?" Reach underneath shelf for box.
