** If you have an extra gallon sized zip lock, please bring and replace - I forgot mine when checking on them 07/07.**

(Brownie Troop 845 took up letterboxing as part of an award involving Hobbies!)

5 minute easy walk

Interstate 84 to Route 2 East

Exit 8, "Hebron Avenue"

At end of exit, take a right onto Hebron Avenue

At end, take a left onto Main Street

Within a mile, Town Hall will be on your right across from the Police Station (If hit Route 17, went too far)

Go to the far right rear of the parking area

Walk through the wood posts with a yellow chain hanging around each side in "home run" territory and head toward the Green Gate

Walk around the green gate on top of the berm toward the Connecticut River

About 75', you will see a large black bat house down to the right off the berm.

** Knocked Down 7/07 but its twin still resides at the upper pond of JB Williams Park ** Visit the bat house Brownie Troop 845 helped make and donated to the Town! After you have read the cool bat information, turn right down the path away from the berm

Stop at the edge of a place where farmer's work

Look to your left and take note of 4 old gate posts

Just behind the old posts is a multi-trunked tree

Inside the leaf and bark covered cradle is our letterbox!

Enjoy!
