From the east on RT. 44 from Pomfret the parking area will be 0.4 of a mile from the Eastford town line sign on the right. Coming from the west on RT. 44 from Ashford the parking area will be 2.0 miles past the Eastford sign on the left.( The same starting point as the Frog RockLB.).
Walk past the giant Frog Rock down the tar walk. Cross over not one not two but three huge logs across the path, continue on and soon you will see a trail on your right. Take this trail you will pass through two green poles and start walking up hill. When you get near the top of the hill you will pass through two big rocks and then you will see a stonewall to your left. Follow the stone wall and soon you will come to a opening, go through the wall and turn left. Go 5 paces to a old stump near the wall, the Kentucky box is in the middle of that stump under some sticks. Notice the old foundations here it's almost like a ole Kentucky homestead.(CAUTION) BETWEEN THE TWO FOUNDATIONS THERE IS A OPEN WELL THERE IS A PEACE OF SHEET METAL OVER IT BUT IT'S NOT COVERED THAT GOOD. It's in a good ways and closer too the foundation on the far right, so be careful if you go in their looking around, if you just go and stamp the box you have nothing to worry about the well is far away from the box.
