Fish Lane at Wylie Beach

We placed this letterbox as we were awaiting hurricane Lane to hit the Hawaiian islands. There were lines at the gas pumps and the stores were running low on water and batteries. Our original letterbox near here washed away in a previous storm and we are hopeful this one survives longer.

Head to Princeville and turn on Ka Haku road and after the impressive fountain take a right on Wylie road toward the Westin Princeville. Go to the end of the road and before the entry to the Westin is a small public parking lot. Park and lock your car. There is a large boulder at the beginning of the path. Follow the path down watching out for the teed off people on your right. There is a caution sign on a tree as you head down the path. Keep walking and you will see an opening in the trees with a beautiful view out to the water. Step off the path to the right and take in the view. Then to your immediate left will be a large angry tree. The letterbox is tucked into the base of the tree on the ocean side under a rock. The path gets steeper as you head down but there is a lovely little beach at the bottom. Enjoy!
