Lion’s Head is a rock outcropping near the Matanuska Glacier that resembles the head of a lion. You can see it from a pullout near Milepost 112 while finding this box.

Directions:
Near Milepost 112 of the Glenn Highway, park at pullout with kiosk over a picnic table.

Clues:
Look west down the road to see the Lion's Head, then walk east past the kiosk 55 steps to pole with metal box. Continue 5 steps to a multi-trunk bush with LB within trunks under a rock and leaves.

Hike length: 0.1 miles
