This box was checked on 8/17/2010 and was in good condition. A filled logbook was replaced.
Neptune State Park is located about five miles South of Yachats overlooking the Pacific Ocean. While small, it offers the features of a rock outcrop located at the end of a long beach. There is only one picnic table and one paved trail. There are two entrances to the park: Be sure to take the North entrance which is just North of the highway bridge.
So walk to the trail's end, play and enjoy the beach; but when ready to letterbox, go back on the trail and find a metal corragated pipe exposed in the trail. Pace 20-25 paces up the trail, then find a large tree off the trail ten paces to your left. Behind the tree is Neptune's Box.
