Smeigle went missing for a little while, but thanks to Grumpy he has been re-carved and back in his hide-out. Have fun looking for him and please remember to re-hide him well as this is a busy park.
This box was created for my friend and co-worker Rose and her daughter Amber in the hopes that they would enjoy finding it and perhaps instilling in Amber the same love of the outdoors that my family and I share. What could be better than a walk in the woods and finding a hidden treasure!
Smeigle is a kitten that Rose took in when he was sick and with her care he has grown into a handsome young cat.
To find Smeigle you must first go to Wadsworth State Park in Middletown, CT. From route 9 take exit 15 in Middletown and follow route 66 West. Turn left on route 157 and go approximately 1.5 miles to the entrance of the park on the left. From the West, follow route 66 East and route 157 will be several miles down on your right.

Very easy hike, approximately 10 minute walk into the park.

From main parking lot go up stairs and head east across picnic area.
Go right onto Main Trail. Follow the main trail to sign. Go straight on Bridge Trail which is the purple blaze. Cross the stone bridge and at far end of bridge take foot path to the left. Go around corner and count 11 steps (short people steps). Look to your left about waist high and you will see one rock different from the rest. Behind this rock is the prize you seek.
From there you can go back or bring clues to the other boxes in the park and have a great day.
This can be a busy park so please be sure and re-hide the boxes you find well.
