From 44 take Rt.97 South. From Rt. 6 take Rt.97 North. To Kenyon Rd., go up a little ways and turn left onto New Hill Rd. Go to the end of that road until you come to a stop sign, turn right and then take immediate left into a grassy parking space near a green gate. This will be the same starting place as Hampton Station and No Bull letterboxes.
Go past the green gate and go down the airline and soon you will see two ponds, one on the left and one on the right. Pass between them and keep walking down the airline and soon you will pass an area with ledge on both sides of you. Soon you will see a trail on the right that goes up a steep hill ; this is not for you. Keep going down the airline a little more and you will see a white blazed trail that crosses over the airline from left to right, you must take a right here. Follow the white blazes and soon you will pass through a stone wall and then you will come to another stone wall. on this side of the stone wall on your right you will see a big old fallen tree with the trunk that sticks about 4 feet up in the air. In the end of the trunk covered with an old piece of wood is a treasure. BE CAREFUL WHEN STEPPING NEAR THE TRUNK; THE BASE OF THE TREE ON THE GROUND HAS A BIT OF A WHOLE IN IT. WATCH YOUR STEP. Please put treasure back the way you found it.
Before you set out, please read the waiver of responsibility and disclaimer.
