Belle Beagle is a great little tri-colored beagle who belongs to a friend and new letterboxer. You may meet up with her and her Mom and Dad the next time you are out letterboxing. If you do, give her a pat on the head, she'll love it. You can say hi to her folks too, they don't bite.

To find Belle's box you will need to start at Wadsworth State Park in Middletown. From route 9 take exit 15 West and follow route 66 to route 157. Follow 157 for approx. 1.5 miles until you come to the entrance of the park on the left. If coming from the West follow route 66 several miles until you see route 157 on your right. Follow the above directions from there.

From the main parking lot climb the stairs and cross the picnic area. Take a right onto the Main Trail. Take the Main Trail until you come to the Bridge Trail. Follow this until you come to the yellow blazed Laurel Brook Trail. Follow the yellow blazes and cross 3 footbridges, enjoying the sounds of the river on your left as you continue South. When you come to the yellow double blazed tree, continue to the right on blue, heading West, the trail to the left is closed. As you climb the hill be on the lookout for an old foundation on your left. When you find it, go right in and under 1868 you will find the Belle Beagle Box. Make sure that you hide it well when you are done stamping in.

There are several other boxes hidden in Wadsworth, make sure you bring those clues with you and make a morning or afternoon of it.
