We appreciate Butterfly of CT for delivering this box to Utah at the CT - SLC, UT Gathering on January 3, 2004. We picked this stamp to be our event stamp! Thank you CT Bluebird!
Crestwood Park is a nice spot tucked into the neighborhood in the Ft. Union. There is a swimming pool there, as well as picnicking, horseshoe pits, volleyball and trails. Little Cottonwood Creek runs through the park. This is an easy short walk, with a little slope to the box. It's a dog friendly area.
DIRECTIONS TO CRESTWOOD PARK: From I-15, take the east I-215 belt route. Get off on the Union Park exit and go south on Union Park Ave. Turn Left (east) on Creek Rd., and Left on Keswick Rd. Follow Keswick road until it ends at Siesta Rd. You'll then be looking at the entrance to Crestwood Park. Park in the parking lot.
CLUES: From the parking lot, walk toward the creek. The box is across the creek on the north side. Cross at the cement bridge close by the parking lot, or walk westward along the creek until you come to the bridge with arched metal sides.
From the north end of this bridge with arched metal sides, walking west on the trail, take 24 steps and stop. Notice that between the bridge and where you are now standing, there are two tree clusters a few yards apart closest to the trail, and you have stopped just before the second tree cluster. Look towards the creek for a prominently white rock sticking up, where the bank begins to slope down toward the creek. Off to the right and a little downhill from this rock are two large rocks. Of these two rocks, the box is hiding under the smaller, darker rock on the left. Look under the rock's crevice, behind some loose rocks facing the creek. Please be sure to re-hide well.
NOTE: The Forever United Letterbox (GFCS #7) is in this park too.
