Been to Brooksvale Park yet? Ever wonder where the 'brook' is? Follow me!! To get to Brooksvale Park, follow the driving directions in Butterfly's "Adventure at Brooksvale" series. Once there, go all the way down the drive and park your car at the end just past the Veteran's Memorial building. Get your gear together and head out on the trail that departs from the left corner. Go through the rock wall and cross the stream the best way you can.(careful now!) Head straight up the steep embankment and up at the top, turn left. Descend the trail to the intersection.(it will be VERY muddy after heavy rain or during periods of spring thaw) At the intersection, the violet trail goes to the right and the left--you will go left, crossing the stream again and walking along the top of the retaining wall. Follow the curve of the wall as it bends right and make a wish if you like. When you come to the end, you will now be on the WHITE trail--turn right onto the trail and head onward.(give the poor stripped tree a little pat) Moving on, you'll soon pass through an archway of sorts over the trail, immediately after passing through, STOP! Turn to your right and head towards the stream. There's a tree to the left that's VERY close to the stream-- your prize is at it's base on the side facing the stream. Remember: a lot of people walk their dogs in this area- be VERY VERY careful when retrieving this box! You may want to stamp in on the retaining wall, providing you don't drop anything in. Please re-hide better than you found it.
