Box #1 is alive and well #2 is new.
Box 1
The Triple Fork
Directions
Route 67 to Peck Hill Road to parking area off left side of Peck Hill Rd. Check Woodbridge Greenway Trails System for a map of Elderslie Preserve.
Clues
Head uphill on the Red Trail and follow till it meets the Blue Trail. At this juncture go right not straight ahead and follow the Blue Trail. Continue on Blue and go about 155 - 165 steps. Find a small boulder 28" high on the left side of the trail with one white (faded away) and one black painted stripe and a 20 inch pine in front. Pine may soon cover stripes on rock. From this point sight 132 degrees and go 25 steps to a twin sister tree behind which under flat rock is The Triple Fork
Box 2
The Butterfly of Woodbridge
Continue on Blue Trail uphill over rocks and level off. At first rock outcropping on left and second Blue blazed tree on left sight 100 degrees to where dead branches hang down over the rocks. In small cave under twigs and white rock is what you seek. You can reverse your path back to the car or continue ahead going right on the Orange trail back to the Red where you will go left back to the car.
Please let us know of your find and the boxes condition.
