Parker Lake hike takes you through scrub brush to trees to a pretty alpine lake. Nice short hike near June Lake area.
Directions:
From Lee Vining, go south on Hwy 395 to the NORTH end of the June Lake Loop (Hwy 158). Turn right and go 1.3 miles. Turn right on dirt road with sign for lake, and go slowly 2.4 miles to end of road and trailhead.
To the Letterbox:
Enjoy the hike to the lake. On your return, look for sign on the right for "Silver Lake". Take that trail for 30 steps. Go right off trail to an Aspen tree. Box at back base under a rock.
