If you're hanging out in the Kenai Peninsula, you'll want to check out Vagt Lake. It's a lovely little spot on the side of the road. There's a small pullout/public access road at 60.432860, -149.372402. Park near the sign for Vagt Lake and make your way onto the trail.
Follow the 1.2 mile trail until you get to the very end -- Vagt Lake! The trail will dead end overlooking the lake. You'll notice there is a sketchy looking diving platform on your left. Standing at the end of the platform, turn until your back is to the water. Take 12 steps until you find a little hollow in the hill covered by a flat rock. There you'll find some delicious Alaskan berries waiting for you!
Hike length: 3-5 miles
