Sheep Pasture is conservation property managed by Natural Resources Trust of Easton. Entrance is from Main Street, North Easton.
From intersection of Main Street with route 138 heading south (Hilliard's Candy Store on your left), turn right onto Main Street. You will pass the Sheep Pasture property on the left, but the "official" entrance is a little farther, around a curve. Take left into entrance road and continue to parking area.
From parking area, walk East past the barn towards the Carriage House (large red building). Look for gravel path straight ahead. Tree on the right has a sign identifying path as the "Ames Loop." Continue east on the gravel path, through an area with many rhododendron bushes. You will shortly see on the left in a small clearing a Memorial Rock in honor of Eleanor Coit, longtime Sheep Pasture volunteer. Turn left at the rock onto the path. Proceed about 46 paces to large, pointed rock in the middle of the trail. Face to your left. You should see some fallen logs, forming an "A" shape. At the end of the fallen logs, look on the right side, under some small sticks, and you should find the letterbox. Enjoy and remember to replace as found!
