Music Woman has lots of passions. Music(duh)and letterboxing are two of them. To find out what another one of them is, come to Wallingford and go on a short hike through Lufbery Park. To get there, take exit 64 off Rte.15(wilbur cross pkwy) From 15 North- at the end of the ramp, turn left and go to the second traffic light and take a right onto Cheshire Rd. Lufbery Park will be on the right after a split second.(keep an eye open for the sign, it can be hard to see) From 15 South- simply turn left at the end of the ramp and then a right at the VERY next light onto Cheshire Rd.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Once at the park, drive all the way to the end and park your car. Your hike will begin on a well-worn trail just to the left of the baseball field.(if you are facing it) Jog up the initial short hill to the top, where you will come to a four-way intersection. Go straight on the trail and follow it all the way to it's end. At the end of the trail, there will be a fence wth a piece missing. This is the property line- DO NOT CROSS. Instead, notice a badly scarred beech tree on the left side near the fence. To the left of it will be another very large tree, this is the one you want. Around the backside of the tree, at it's base, you will find your prize. Turn around and go back the way you came to get back to your car. Hope you enjoyed your short hike at this local park today!!
