*** 3 Boxes on this trail, so can combine with other 2. Boxes were to be placed in other states, but Tropical Storm prevented that.

Difficulty: Easy
Distance to Letterbox: 1 mile total if get 3

Box(s) located in Lick Creek Park. Nice hiking area on fringe of College Station. This box is dedicated to Jim Bowie. Born in Louisiana, Bowie gained fame in Texas for his signature knife and famous death at the Alamo.

From Hwy 6, turn east on William D Fitch Parkway. Turn right on Rock Prairie road and go a few miles, then left into parking area for the park (near Pavilion).

To the Letterbox:
Walk to the left of the pavilion and find trail sign for "Yaupon Trail". Take that trail and go to post #13. Continue on to faint trail to right, but stay left on main trail. Soon reach 4 way intersection. Go left and continue to the #10 post on the left. Continue on main trail and cross creek bed (post #8). Go on to post #7, then a little further to "Yaupon Trail" sign on right. At sign, go left off trail to double oak tree. Box at back base of that tree. Continue on trail and you will come out at end of parking area.
