Picture Canyon Natural and Cultural Preserve is one of the premier bird watching sites in the region, including the Waterbird Petroglyph Site where this box can be found.
Directions:
From W Historic Rt 66 go north on El Paso Flagstaff Rd for 0.6 mile to Picture Canyon Natural & Cultural Preserve on right and park.
Clues:
Walk on Tom Moody Trail, staying left on it at T jct and next Y jct. At jct with Don Weaver Trail, go right on it past jcts for petroglyph overlook and pit house, to T jct. Go right on Don Weaver Trail into woods and down to jct with AZ Trail, with bridge on right. Continue straight on Tom Moody Trail to sign for Waterbird Petroglyph pointing left. Before going up to petroglyphs, go left 15 steps off trail to large boulder. Go around back side to where it meets another boulder. LB is in crevice under a rock & needles.
