Practically a drive by..........
This is a great hand carved stamp that commemorates the gold miners in the area.
Directions:
Taking U.S HWY 6 West from Denver
At a four way intersection with Colorado HWY 58, HWY 6 turns left onto Clear Creek Cyn. This is an amazing canyon that that is worth driving up to the top. However at only about .6 miles from the intersection, the letterboxer should look for a sign that says "Indian Creek" and almost immediately turn right onto an old {blocked} dirt road. A picture sign there means "No Teepees". A tree grows on the slope to its right. Climb up a little to find the box behind the trunk on the uphill side.
(Just a heads up, there was some mention in 2012 of a couple of deer skeletons close by)
Good Hunting!
