I try to camp in the Grand Canyon every year because it is so beautiful and calming. I love that they have so many bicycle trails and close the road to Hermits Rest. It is great for bicycling. I always ride the trail from the campground to Tusayan and almost always see elk along this path, particularly early in the morning. I've never seen a bear here but it would be awesome if I did! In the meantime, you can find my Beary Wonderful stamp in place of a bear sighting.

As you are driving north on Highway 64 through Tusayan and towards the Grand Canyon, turn left at the last left turn in Tusayan before the roundabout at the north end of town. There is a flashing sign that says Pink Jeep Tours, Grand Canyon Visitor Center, IMAX theater and a few other advertisements. Turn at the sign and park in the parking lot facing the forest, about twenty car spaces in.

Clues to the box:
Look North and locate the gray metal pole at the start/end of the paved bike/walking trail. Walk north on the trail 105 steps to a wide spot in the trail with a large stone to sit on. Walk 41 steps west at 270 degrees to a ponderosa pine tree. Continue in the same direction 10 steps to a large rock. You will find the hidden bear under some rocks. Return the way you came. If you have the time, the bike trail is a very pleasant ride.

Please double bag the contents as this area receives a fair amount of snow.

Note: What's Bugging' You is very close by.
