Terrain Difficulty: Easy (flat, 50 yards RT)
Status: alive
Sandy Creek Park is an ideal spot on Lake Travis for swimming, nature walks, camping and fishing. It has trails, picnic tables and a boat ramp, allowing water skiing as another activity.
Directions:
From Anderson Mill Rd go southwest on Lime Creek Rd for 4.8 miles, then turn right into Sandy Creek Park. Pay fee at gatehouse, turn left, then right toward boat ramp. Go left at sign saying "Trails to Swim Area" near a dumpster and park along the loop road by sign saying "No Dumping".
Clues:
Walk down trail to left of sign saying "No Camping Beyond This Point" for 55 steps. You should have unobstructed view of a multi-trunk cedar tree 25 steps away, so walk to it. LB is within its trunks under rocks & needles. You should have a slight view of the lake and can walk down to it after stamping in.
Hike length: 0.1 miles
