Version 2.0; this is the second stamp, log book, and location for this letterbox.
Status: alive and well on August 28, 2016
This box is located at the north edge of Laughlin in the Colorado River Heritage Greenway Park. From the bridge over the river or the intersection with Casino Drive, drive west on State Highway 163. Turn right on the first road (which is a sharp U-turn), Drive to the end at a circular drive and park there.
From the parking area, walk north along the river on the Riverwalk Exploration Trail. Walk until you come to two interpretive signs titled "The River Today" and "Balancing Supply and Demand". From the north end of the sign area where red rock meets natural rocks go at about 300 degrees (from mag. north) to two rusty metal poles. From the pole on the right, go at about 270 degrees for about 100 steps to the base of a social path heading left up hill on a berm-like ridge. Walk uphill at about 190 degrees for about 85 steps to a concave area on the right side of the trail. The box is hidden on the southwest side of a skeleton of a dead shrub under some flat rocks covered with some twigs and plant debris.
Please be sure the contents are double ziplocked when you put them back in the box (i.e. the stamp is in a ziploc, the book is in a ziploc, and the two are in the larger ziploc bag). Please rehide the box well under the rocks and covered with some twigs and plant debris so that it can not be seen from any direction.
Enjoy the view of the Colorado River.
