The Olde Print Shop
Retired Sept 22, 2010

Since the days of Gutenberg
The printers have labored
Setting letter by letter
To print news for their neighbors.

The old iron presses
From days long ago
Moved platen and bed
Back and forth, to and fro.

The work was tedious,
The rooms damp and dark
But the presses today
Are state-of-the-art.

The offset press cylinders
Spin quickly, you see
Printing multiple colors
For you and for me.

A century-old press
Now resides with the new.
To find the Olde Print Shop
Here’s what to do.

Fifteen, west of the tunnel,
Get off fifty-nine
Turn left at the bottom
And cross the town line.

This road’s the old turnpike
Congested at times.
Second right onto Bradley
And you’ll be just fine.

At the map do your Research
Information do glean.
Turn right and then left
And Drive to sixteen.

Walk up to the bench
That sits near the door.
You are all letterboxers…
Need I say any more?

The employees all know
So no need to be shy.
If the Print Shop is open
Pop in and say “hi”.
