This letterbox is hidden at one of my favorite rest stops, but be discreet in finding it. I don't want a truck driver to get curious and throw it out later. There are nice picnic tables here and plenty of information to help you plan where you would like to plant some letterboxes in this beautiful state of ours (hint, hint).
Pace calibration: begin on sidewalk next to U.S. flag. 18 paces (of the one-step variety) puts you smack in front of the state flag.
From there, 29 paces at 26 degrees should land you at the top of the second railing from the right. Then try 72 paces at 36 degrees. The box is hidden under a pile of rocks. Please be careful in covering the box well after using it. The caretakers for this rest stop do a really good job, and I would hate to have others lose the opportunity to sign in.
later note from box owner: I went back to check on the box. It was still alive, but I was surprised to see how high the weeds had grown over it. Don't be discouraged by high grass. It's there, just under a pile of rocks.
